Keep your mouth & dental implants clean after surgery. Brush carefully, use saltwater rinses, avoid smoking to promote healing & maintain implant health.
What should I avoid after my dental implant treatment?
After dental implant treatment, avoid hot food, drinks, and strenuous activity for 48 hours. Don’t disturb the area with your tongue or fingers.
Is swelling or bruising around the dental implant likely?
Swelling or bruising after dental implants is normal, peaking at 2-3 days. Use ice packs initially, then gentle heat after 24 hrs, and sleep slightly elevated.
Will there be pain after the dental implant procedure?
Pain after Implant Surgery shouldn’t be an issue. Soreness is normal for a few days & is easily managed with simple painkillers. Contact us if the pain worsens.
Can I wear my denture after my dental implant treatment?
After your dental implant treatment avoid wearing your denture over the surgical area during the initial healing period. Always leave it out at night.
What about the stitches around the dental implant?
Dissolvable stitches around dental implants last 2-3 weeks. Contact us if they’re uncomfortable. For bleeding, apply pressure and consult us if it persists.
