I lost my teeth to gum disease, will that be a problem for dental implants?
Patients who are susceptible to gum disease around their own natural teeth are also going to be susceptible to getting gum disease around implants. One of the things that we assess when we first see you is whether you have significant active gum disease going on elsewhere in your mouth, and we will arrange for that to be treated first before we put any implants in to ensure that your implants will last as long as feasible.
