Can I have a MRI with a dental implant?
MRI scanners use very powerful magnets to create an image of your body. If you have anything that contains iron in your body, then this can be affected by the MRI scanner. The great news is that dental implants and any of the restorative work that is attached to a dental implant, none of that contains iron. And so, yes, you can have MRI scans following dental implant treatment without any problems.
