Because the nature of the implant is more complex than in a natural tooth. It's very important to keep it nice and clean and it’s very important to have a good cleaning technique with the X-floss the implant floss. The idea is to get the floss under the gum, hook the implant with the floss, and pull as tightly as possible then give it a polish, just as you would dry your back with a towel.
Probably 5 or 6 times to make sure we have enough repetitions to remove the bacterial build-up. We do recommend cleaning around the implant twice a day. We're trying to break the bacterial biofilm. We're trying to break the plaque build-up around the implant to prevent gum problems in the future.
