The optimal time for tooth whitening in conjunction with dental implant treatment, is after surgery during the eight to twelve weeks healing period before the implant is ready to be restored.
Our surgeons always ask suitable patients after implant surgery if they wish to consider tooth whitening. They will explain to the patient the benefits and the limited risks, so that if they wish to consider it, they can request the treatment from their referring dentist.
Our recommended tooth whitening technique is ‘night time’ tooth whitening. A simple alginate impression is taken and trays are made. We recommend that 10% carbamide peroxide is used, and that it is worn for a minimum of three hours either at night or during the day.

From start to finish the treatment took five months and throughout that time The Implant Centre’s approach was always professional, but friendly at all levels.
Mr A.T. S
The implants I received look good, and, they have also improved my facial appearance as they have filled conspicuous gaps in a row of teeth. They fit comfortably in my mouth, and, act better than the dental plates I had before.
Mr E. M
My implant replaced a denture, which replaced a broken crown, and my new front tooth has not only restored my confidence making me proud to smile again, but has also reinstated my enjoyment of food.
