At the end of treatment she said ‘I wish I had started implant treatment years ago’. The final push to seek treatment was the prospect of wearing a denture, which she felt was not an option due to the comfort and stigma.

Her implant treatment was remarkably simple, pain free throughout and actually the shortest aspect of her treatment taking just one surgical visit following careful and detailed planning.

The crowns on the teeth, and the implant crowns and bridges were carried out by Steve Kell at Lewis High Street Dental Practice who we have worked with for over 8 years.

The missing teeth on the left side put excess chewing force on the front teeth risking their early failure. In time the lower back teeth would grow up and into the wrong position. This can cause pain in the jaw joints and difficulty eating.

Two of Chloe’s Ankylos implants in perfect positions with the ideal bridge screwed into position. Work like this can guarantee a very long and successful treatment outcome. No grafting was necessary despite the limited bone available.

The final result shows complete dental transformation allowing for ideal chewing function at the back of the mouth, taking the stresses away from the new front crowns that were requested in this case. This will dramatically increase the lifespan of crowns on teeth that can be reduced by excess forces.

The implant bridge is indistinguishable from the other crowns and the gum line is idea – this is the biggest challenge in implant dentistry and we see a lot of issues with many implant systems that are used because they are cheaper.
