Six Implants in Upper Jaw

William is a 75 year old retired engineer from Brighton. After losing his last upper tooth he struggled with a removable denture for three years before deciding to investigate dental implants. After researching various options, including travelling abroad for his implants, William decided that The Implant Centre was the best place to have his treatment.

William had very little bone left and had been advised by another clinic that implants were not viable without significant grafting. With careful assessment utilising the centre's state of the art 3D imaging facilities, it was felt that his treatment could be performed.

He opted for sedation and six implants were placed into his upper jaw. These were restored with a fixed bridge over the following 12 weeks giving a spectacular cosmetic and functional result.

One of the key elements in the success of William's treatment was the great care that went into planning his surgery. As you can see from these detailed 3D images, (produced from our state-of-the-art cone-beam scanner), we were able to identify precisely where the implants needed to be placed – even in this extremely resorbed case. Knowing that his treatment was being so thoroughly and carefully planned was a great reassurance to William, and enabled the team at The Implant Centre to safely and predictably carry out his treatment even when other centres had told him it "wasn't possible.
