Two Single Crowns

When Deborah lost her baby teeth her adult teeth were not there to replace them. She tried orthodontics when she was fourteen in order to correct this but to no avail.

She decided that she wanted her missing teeth restored. During this time some of her teeth had moved and some gaps had closed. In order to straighten her teeth she returned to orthodontic treatment. At this time she was prepared to wear a denture or a bridge so cutting down good teeth in order to restore her missing laterals until a friend told her about implants. She was seen at The Centre for an assessment and was very happy to hear that implants could be placed to restore her missing teeth meaning she did not have to wear a denture. Through careful planning with the orthodontist and the surgeon the correct space was created and it was decided that temporary crowns could be fitted on the implants so Deborah did not have to wear a denture while waiting for the implants to heal.

Deborah's Treatment

In a simple procedure two implants were placed and restored with temporary crowns. Deborah could finally throw away her denture. This meant that while she was waiting for the implants to heal she could smile and talk with confidence. After ten weeks impressions were taken for the final restorations. With the making of the crowns Deborah, the restoring technician and restoring dentist discussed how she wanted the restorations to look like. By meeting the technician a much better understanding of what the patient wants can be achieved. Two weeks later the crowns were fitted.

Review Appointment

At the review appointment Deborah informed us she was "so happy with her new teeth and that she loves the confidence it gives her, so much so she is able to crunch apples. People have noticed how much more she is smilling."
